Corporate Sales Executive – City of London

£30,000 Basic Salary + Commission + Benefits

It is the role of the Corporate Sales Executive to seek and obtain contracts for a range of IT products on behalf of our client by portraying the company in a professional and credible manner.

The post holder will also be expected to discuss, explain and demonstrate the range of software products to secure a long term subscription based contract or an appointment for an on-line or face to face demonstration

  1. To be the primary contact between our client and prospective clients to communicate the range of services offered by the company developing the relationship and the clients awareness of them. Maintain contact with a view to enhance the corporate image until such time as the client accepts the offer of our services.
  2. Using industry knowledge and experience to negotiate the maximum subscription base for the software.
  3. Assist in identifying potential sales and demonstrations of the range of software products
    To build and maintain existing relationships with Rating Agents in order to secure a subscriptions and develop long term partnership agreements to achieve your monthly targets.
  4. To make telephone contact with perspective clients and arrange a suitable time to attend a webinar and /or face to face meeting.
  5. To update EMIS (in-house system) accurately and on a timely basis to help progress the sales order process with each prospective client and issue template documents to the client as required. Ensure that precise details of the relevant properties, restrictions and agreements are recorded clearly.
  6. To attend & lead Sales meeting’s with potential clients across the UK and negotiate the contracts and sales order process through to its completion.
  7. Ensure through continual training and performance appraisals that you understand the company’s products and services and any fundamental changes or developments to these.
  8. To attend and contribute to regular sales meetings with the sales director and actively work as part of a team of 6 to help develop best practice and innovative ways of working within a changing & demanding customer base.
  9. Contribute to the negotiation and review of personal and team targets that will be based on outputs and performance measures as required.
  10. Responsible for your daily, weekly & monthly review of the KPI suite and ensure these targets are exceeded on a regular basis.
  11. Prioritise Company objectives and success measures as detailed in the annual business plan and specified in appraisal documentation.
  12. Contribute to the development of systems and procedures for the improved efficiency and success of the business, ensuring maximum flexibility to meet changing demands and priorities in order to deliver a quality sales service.
  13. Be supportive to all colleagues, as a senior member of the staff you will be required to help develop, mentor and train new members of the team.
    Ensure that all duties and responsibilities are discharged in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety at Work Policy.
  14. As directed by the Sales Director, the post-holder will undertake reasonable additional duties and responsibilities that may arise from time to time commensurate with the salary associated with the post.

Personal Specification

We are looking for a self motivated and energetic individual to join & then lead a team who will become a pivotal part of the sales function in London.
Ideally you will have previous experience in sales and have the ability to adapt your approach and processes to the changing demands of the industry & strategic objectives of the business.
Ideally you will have some understanding of the Property industry & previous experience of software sales ideally within the Business Rates division.
You will enjoy building long term relationships & account management with a varied customer base.
You will have the ability to influence at all levels from board through to administrator.
Must have excellent written and oral communication abilities.
