Business Development Executive – SaaS

As a Business Development Executive, you will pitch to win new customers, using both warm and cold leads. You will be calling, and meeting with, prospective clients and looking after the full sales cycle.

Location

Impressive offices based in the City, Central London. Regular face-to-face sales meetings to your customers throughout the UK, and Europe.

Main Accountabilities

  • Manage, follow-up and close UK and global incoming web leads
  • Source, qualify and set-up new business opportunities with SME’s in the UK market, pitching directly to Marketing/PR Managers, Communications Directors, Brand Managers etc.
  • Meet and exceed ’meetings booked’ and ’revenue’ targets
  • Represent our client at various industry events both in the UK and abroad

Person Specification

Essential:

  • 1-3 years’ experience ideally within a New Business sales role, within associated industries (SaaS, media, digital, recruitment etc)
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport with new clients, consultative in approach, driven to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Sales experience within a target based environment, requiring good CRM capability (Salesforce experience would be advantageous)
  • A true ‘hunter’ mentality, spotting new revenue opportunities; then passing accounts over to a Relationship Management department once won
  • High energy, positive and strategic approach to Business Development, hungry to achieve and exceed OTEs

Desirable:

  • Demonstrable experience in selling a media monitoring / SaaS analytics orientated product to PR agencies and/or marketing departments
  • Performed web demos as part of sales process
  • An interest in social media / public relations / or perhaps a Digital/Marketing/Business education background

Level of education/ training:

  • Graduate calibre
